Publication Title Continuing a Tradition of Research on the Foundations of Democratic Education: The National Professional Development and Evaluation Project
Description This paper highlights some of the nearly 100 studies that have been conducted on the program, as a context for presenting the latest and most comprehensive evaluation of the program’s effectiveness: the Facing History and Ourselves National Professional Development and Evaluation Project (NPDEP). The NPDEP provides evidence, using the most rigorous evaluation methods, that Facing History promotes teacher self-efficacy, professional satisfaction and growth, and student academic and civic learning.
