|Description||The social studies standards in grades 3 through 8 will be the basis for development of the social studies test questions for the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS). Likewise, the social studies standards for United States History and the Constitution (USHC) will be used to develop assessments for the End-of-Course Examination Program (EOCEP). The EOCEP and PASS will be based on the standards and indicators at each grade level and will sample from the indicators. While the EOCEP and PASS will measure the content of the standard, the questions will not exceed the scope and intent of the indicators associated with that standard.
