Welcome to the Civic Learning Wiki

Welcome to the companion Wiki for the Civic Learning Project. Here you will find a wealth of information on the research, policies and practitioner details in this incredibly important space, that went to serve as the basis for the white paper and the systems map available on Red and Blue Works. But this is just the start -

This wiki has been designed from the ground up to be informative, easy to use and most importantly to foster and engender collaboration.

To that end, we have incorporated into this wiki a number of Semantic Web principles, which allows us as a collective to treat the underlying data as a living knowledge base - information and the connections between items become obvious and easy to navigate - with a return to home base here as simple as clicking the Red and Blue Works logo in the top left of the screen.

You also have the option to amend/amend the data as you see fit, again, this is a collaboration - with editable pages guiding you through the process via filling in simple forms, or just presenting you with a box that you can freestyle in. I would encourage you to create an account (up there on the top right) before you start to make edits or new items - as it will enable to keep track of your contributions to this effort via the 'Contributions' link, also at the top right of the page.

Finally, we also give you the ability to export the latest data at any time (the csv will be helpfully timestamped) - allowing you to import and utilize in any software product you wish.

I would highly recommend 'Getting Started' below, here you are able to leverage some of the data architecture to the full with some powerful plain language drilldown filtering for each of the 3 main topic areas.

We are absolutely thrilled you are here - feel free to look, learn and contribute.

The Team @ Red and Blue Works.

Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software.
